SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - The Millennium Force roller coaster at Cedar Point was shut down Friday after a small bracket became dislodged from a car on the ride.According to Sara Gordon of Six Flags Entertainment, the bracket landed in a guest area and didn’t hit any park visitors or Cedar Point employees. No injuries were reported.According to Six Flags, the ride was immediately shut down in accordance with protocols and would remain closed pending an internal review and additional state inspection to ensure safety before reopening. This comes on the heels of a tragic accident at Six Flags Over Georgia, where a man fell from the Goliath coaster and died on Monday.Six Flags temporarily shut down nine rides across six parks that were similar to the Goliath.
